Now that the kids are old enough to follow directions, we're taking the boat out again. Nolan is bound to learn a lot of new language (we're still hunting for a batten)!

We mothers.........always trying so hard to just help these lovely hard working kids.Good to know these new words, some are new for me too.Am glad to come across your list as I am using one new list each day for a new topic too.keep learning from each other adding fun on the way !Am sure Nolan is going to love this activity being a guy, enjoy!

Sailing has its own terminology - most people don't know all the lingo. I still have no idea why sailors call a pulley a block, a rope a sheet, and going back and forth tacking. Oh, well - it makes for interesting conversations!

We're trying to get out today, but the trailer lights won't work!

That IS fun!!! What a great opportunity for learning new language with two active boys! We took X up to my parents' cottage for the first time last weekend and went out onto the lake in the paddle boat. It was a good experience for all of us!
