Falling Into New Vocabulary
Autumn is my favorite time of year. With Nolan picking up new phrases left and right (newest: "can't catch me!" to his brother) we are really enjoying the new language opportunities the seasonal change is bringing. New words for this week include:
Crunch
Colorful
Pumpkin
Squash
Cinnamon
Crisp
Turkey (we get them in our backyard this time of year)
Scarecrow
Chilly
Acorn
Rake
Pile
We are going to collect leaves to send to Grandma's preschool class in California (which sadly, lacks the colorful leaf change we see in our region). We are taking walks and admiring the goldenrod and asters in bloom. We are watching spiders spin their webs and butterflies sunning themselves at noon. We're also baking apple pies and pumpkin bread, which isn't so good for my waistline!

I LOVE that picture of Nolan! So cute! I am absolutely loving fall this year too, especially since we get to experience it from beginning until end. We just caught the tail end of it last year, but this year we're loving every bit of it! We're working on a lot of the same vocab and Aiden and I went on a leaf search today. So fun! I think this may be my new favorite season! Enjoy those apple pies! Yummmmmmy!
What a cute pic of Nolan! I love watching the leaves change too!
I am so jealous. I am in Houston where fall does not exist. Great pic of Nolan and the leaves. Really beautiful.
What a great picture!
We're enjoying the beginning of fall here too... but not quite as colorful as the NE.
My boys are excited to find a corn maze and go run wild.

I love the fall also, unfortunetely it means our cold long winter is on its way, however, the colors, the warm breezes, the canning, the baking, just love it. Love the pic of Nolan too!
