In Which Nolan Disrupts the Space-Time Continuum

Just one word of caution for those intending on creating a flannel-board calendar. Your kids might like it. A lot. Which means they will have no actual idea about what you planned on doing that day, but will have a great time peeling and sticking shapes onto the board over and over and over...

You get the general idea.

Definitely go with Julia's white board concept- it is far superior for recording daily events!

Well, at least you're getting your money's worth out of it! Too cute.

Hi Leah, Tammy told me about your blog. Very interesting. We went through all that testing, not as extensive, it is not fun at all...especially the whole waiting thing. Our diagnosis, our little girl Sienna was born with CMV. As she is very small, not quite 20 lbs and will be 2 at the end of August, we are constantly struggling with her to eat, eat, eat. Good luck with your findings, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Jenny, thanks for your comment. The GI doc did ask if he was tested for CMV (he wasn't, and neither was I during pregnancy). With a fluctuant sensorineural hearing loss and the head lag, that would make sense- I might try to see if they can do the new Guthrie card bloodspot test.

Nolan's a tad heavier at 23 pounds and will be 2 at the end of August, but is still at the 3% mark (he's also in the 50th% for height, so his weight-for-length ratio is really low, well below the 3%).

The waiting is rather frustrating- I just want to get the testing over with so that we can help him grow!

Looks like you need to make more flannel boards! Actually, maybe this explains what happened to my summer -- it must've gotten sucked into oblivion when Nolan tampered with space-time.

LOL! I thought about this too and decided I still want to do your flannel board, but for a story board instead. I decided to go for Julia's white board idea too, but I found one with just one week and it has pretty good size squares to write/draw on. I'll post pics soon. I got it at Target.
